MULTIPURPOSE PAVILION
Caracas Venezuela.
Project year: 2015
Collaboration: Abraham Torrivila
The construction of the pavilion starts from the idea of the union of components, and these components at the same time, are constituted by elements that have as features in common a light reading. These different elements they are understood as layers that together give the piece rigidity, stability and flexibility, since the floor, ceiling and wall elements, for example, can be modified at the user's convenience.
The proposal of pavilion part of the idea of lightness and permeability as leading concepts, to create areas that do not lose relationship with the context in which it is inserted, so that they produce, in different sections, different sensations. Under those firsts were conceives a structural system made up of a group of rings, of similar proportions, connected by tie bars that cross them and stiffened by tensioners, this group of rings being able to join another group, of different proportions, following the same principles of the system; in this way, the adaptability of the piece in different contexts and topographic situations is guaranteed.
